8-bit Selling

Level 5: The Epic Final Battle

It is time. Your team is assembled, your foes have been converted or defeated, and now there is only one task left: Complete the Sale! As Dr. Wiley’s theme blares in the background, you know it is time to finish the job you have started. All the work, effort, and time has come down to this one epic moment. Your time is almost here. But before you can press X to battle, there are a few things you need to prepare.

Stage 1: Inventory Check

Before every boss battle, you have to make sure you have all the right equipment. Without it, you may not be able to defeat your foe. But before you begin packing your inventory, you have to know what it takes to defeat the final foe. Through you travels, you have converted enemies to sponsors, and this would be a great place to start. They know more about the final opponent than anyone else, and simply asking them for some advice or help can go a long way. Do not be afraid, if they did not want you to succeed, they would be your Nega-Sponsor.

Once you figure out what you need, it is time to get packing. Past and recent evidence of success, such as statistics and articles can always help to make your case. Also, bringing information about the product in the form of brochures is a great way to make an impact. And, if you have one available, always bring an actual copy of the product you selling. This can serve as a critical hit to the enemy.

Just as you need have items in your inventory, you do not want too many either. With too many items, you can spend too much time searching for the best one to use, and too many items can confuse and frustrate the boss, making them more powerful. Make sure you are only bringing the essentials, as these can aid you while others can destroy you.

With you inventory full and your team ready to go, it is time to open that door and enter the battle you have been preparing for this entire time. But when you open the door… there is not just one combatant waiting for you! Old foes have return, and they are ready for you. Will you be ready for them? Find out in Level 5: Stage 2!
