CONGRATULATIONS to Cassey Eck and Scott Brendamour on placing 2nd and 6th respectively out of 84 students in the International Collegiate Sales Competition, putting Ohio University in 2nd place out of 42 other universities in the overall competition!

Career Corner

Career Corner is our way of recognizing what’s going on in the news with our Partners. This week we are focusing on Steelcase and Sumo Logic.

Steelcase: Grand Rapids, MI
Steelcase sells ‘really cool’ office furniture. They only recruit from Schey Candidates for full-time positions in fall. Training would be in Grand Rapids, MI, and then candidates would get placed into a territory. Steelcase is currently focusing on reducing their carbon footprint.

Sumo Logic: Redwood City, CA
Sumo Logic is a technology company focused in log management. They are currently looking for Schey Candidates for full-time and internship positions. Candidates would receive training in technology upon starting. Sumo Logic just expanded with Amazon.

Partner Relations

The Schey signed a new partnership with RevLocal, a digital marketing firm who is seeking full-time employees and interns

Quicken Loans Trip Recap:
Sales Workshop that happened on Friday, November 8.
Tour of the facility and Detroit, listened to motivational speakers from within the Quicken Loans and got to network with a wide variety of professionals and students from other universities.

Members of the Schey’s Ambassadors Club were given the incentive option to attend the Quicken Loans Trip for a Sales Workshop on Fri. Nov. 8 in Detroit, MI.

Additional Information Discussed

  • There will be a box for donations for all those affected by the Union Street Fire in the Schey Sales Center office from Monday Nov. 17 to Monday Nov. 24.
  • Alan McMillian is looking for someone who is reliable and handy to do some miscellaneous work around his properties. Hours are extremely flexible. If interested contact Scott Brendamour (sb693611@ohio.edu)
