It’s Week 10 people. You heard me, Week 10. This semester is flying by, and as always, our Schey candidates are working hard. This week is jam packed with a super exciting announcement of our new Cabinet and Candidate Advisory Council, our 2nd Spring Career Fair and Alumni Experience Day. To get caught up on all the excitement, keep reading!
On behalf of the entire Schey Sales Centre, we would like to send out a warm congratulations to the new Cabinet and Candidate Advisory Council members.
Co-Chairs: Greg Scott & Stephenson Swan
Greg Scott will be a Senior in the College of Business when he takes over the role of Chair. Greg is pursuing a B.B.A. in marketing. Greg was inducted into the Schey Sales Centre in Spring 2014 and since that time he has held the position of Director of Exsell within the Schey. Outside of the Schey, Greg is a fellow of the Ohio University Consulting Fellows and represents the marketing department on the Dean’s Student Advisory Council.
Stephenson Swan will be a Senior in the College of Business when he takes over the role of Chair. Stephenson is double-majoring in marketing and finance. Stephenson was inducted into the Schey Sales Centre in Fall 2013 and since that time he has been extremely involved in the Schey including being a ExSell Sales Rep, a member of the Sales Cats, a member of Toastmasters and VP of Corporate Development. Outside of the Schey, Stephenson enjoys winning intramural softball championship’s on his men’s competitive team.
VP of Communications: Erica Ytterbo
Erica Ytterbo will be a Junior in the College of Business when she takes over the role of VP of Communications. Erica was inducted into the Schey Sales Centre during Fall 2014 and since that time has been involved on the Exsell Sales Team. Outside of the Schey, Erica is involved in the American Marketing Association as the VP of Professional Development.
VP of Candidate Advancement: David Baxter
David Baxter will be a Junior in the Scripps College of Communication when he takes over the position as VP of Candidate Advancement. David is and organizational and health communication studies double-major. David was inducted into the Schey Sales Centre in Fall 2014 and since that time he has been a Sales Rep in Exsell and has worked with our Corporate Outreach team. Outside of the Schey, David is involved in POWER, during which he presents on various health topics to about 400 students a semester. Lastly, David is the President of OU Hovercraft Club.
VP of Corporate Development: Delani Stopp
Delani Stopp will be a Senior when she takes on the position of VP of Corporate Development. Delani is a double-major across colleges, studying marketing in the College of Business and communications in the Scripps College of Communication. Delani was inducted into the Schey Sales Centre in Spring 2014 and since that time she has held an Account Manager position. Outside of the Schey, Delani is involved in the Women’s Club Soccer team as well as various intramural teams within the Schey.
VP of Professional Development: Barbie Ramey
Barbie Ramey will be a Senior in the College of Business when she take on the position of VP of Professional Development. Barbie is a marketing major with a minor in communication studies. Barbie was inducted into the Schey Sales Centre during Fall 2014 and since that time she has been an Account Manager. Outside of the Schey, Barbie is involved in Women in Business, the Center for Student Legal Services is a CASA volunteer and an ambassador of the College of Business.
2nd Spring Career Fair
Tonight, Monday, March 16, we are holding our 2nd Spring Career Fair. Due to inclement weather on the night of our 1st Spring Career Fair, we wanted to provide another opportunity for our Partners and our Candidates to make connections and find their dream jobs and internships.
Tonight we have 9 companies in attendance: Paycor, Lanxess, Alliance Data, RevLocal, RG Barry, HR Butler, Farmers Insurance, TekSystems and Premier Building Solutions.
Alumni Experience Day
Alumni Experience Day is THIS SATURDAY! We will be welcoming 35 alumni who are coming back to OU from all over the US. They work for a variety of companies including: Advantage Sales & Marketing, NetApp, EMC, AT&T, Cisco, Cleveland Browns, Enerpac and On Base by Highland Software.
Saturday will be held in Copeland Hall and break down in the following way:
– Break-Out Sessions: 9AM-11AM
– Alumni Speed Dating: 11AM-12PM
– Lunch: 12PM-1PM
Following this event, starting at 1:30PM at Pigskin Sports Bar, we will be holding a philanthropic event benefiting the “A Kid Again” charity. There will be a $10 minimum door fee as a donation for this event, but that price will include food.
Race for a Reason
The OhioHealth O’Bleness Hospital Race for a Reason has been around for five years and has grown rapidly. It is structured for everyone to be able to donate to an organization they are passionate about. As members of the Schey, the money we raise will be going to the organization A Kid Again. We have a goal to raise $1,000 in the name of the Schey.
